Welcome to the Youth at Risk / Open Youth Care Unit team! The team currently has 2 youth counselors, 2 SIG/SSPF coordinators, 2 Rätt Kurva counselors, and 1 social worker working with Support Center/mediation/Youth Service. The operational work of the unit is led by a team leader who supports staff and ensures legal security and treatment processes. The Open Youth Care unit also has the Youth Clinic, Mini Maria, and supported housing Myren. We are a total of 19 people who enjoy and develop in our work. Job Responsibilities Youth at Risk is now seeking a youth counselor who wants to work closely with young people and provide individually adapted support. The work is primarily focused on treatment work with young people with norm-breaking behavior, but you will also work with young people with psychosocial issues such as mental health problems. The tasks are varied and based on implementation plans that you develop together with the young person. As a youth counselor, you work to achieve the set goals together with the young person and coordinate with guardians, social workers, and other professionals involved in the case. Support is designed individually and may include structured treatment programs, individual conversations, and practical support and guidance. You will also be involved in the municipality's provision of youth service. The position includes documentation in journal systems. In the Youth at Risk unit, we work with needs-assessed services and also assignments without needs decisions (services), to offer an accessible social service. We work according to RBM principles and distribute cases and match the right intervention based on risk level. The work group meets every week for team meetings where we have collegial supervision based on Signs of Safety. Individual case reviews take place once a month with the team leader. In daily work, you and your colleagues will have close and frequent contact with the young person/family and other important partners around the young person such as social services, school, police, etc. Collaboration is a given for us. Together with colleagues in the unit, you plan your work to best meet the young people's needs. The position requires a high degree of flexibility, perseverance, and collaborative ability. You meet the young person in the environment they wish. When needed, you guide the young person to relevant contacts such as healthcare and school. You will work with motivational work aimed at increasing protective factors for the young person. Qualifications We are looking for someone who is a social worker with experience in treatment work with children/young people and families. It is an asset if you have experience with young people with norm-breaking behavior and mental health issues. You may have worked within the social services' open care. We are looking for someone who is accustomed to working in a structured and goal-oriented manner. You have an easy way of creating alliances with clients and driving change work forward. You are very flexible with both methods and working hours. You find it easy to collaborate, but are also strong in independent work. It is desirable that you have experience with some working method such as RePulse, FFT, Turning Point, Crime as a Lifestyle, MI, or another relevant method aimed at the target group. Why Huddinge?
