The Short-Term Care Unit is located on the 5th floor of the Älvgården building. The facility has 19 assessed care positions. The decisions cover respite care, rotating care, further evaluations, or waiting for specialized housing. This means that both admissions and discharges typically vary faster than other municipal operations. Work Duties
The Short-Term Care Unit is a varied workplace, and as a nursing assistant you will have the opportunity to use your skills in different ways by working based on the individual's care decision to implement the services. Your work duties include collaborating with clients, relatives, staff, and other professionals such as nurses and rehabilitation personnel. We see opportunities for you to take responsibility for multiple delegated tasks from relevant professions. In addition to medication delegation, this can include wound dressing changes, catheterization, specimen collection, tube feeding, bandaging, and much more. Your role as a nursing assistant includes documentation, creating implementation plans, ombudsman roles, and serving as a contact person.
Qualifications
We are looking for you with three years of nursing education, nursing assistant education, or other education that the employer deems equivalent. We seek someone with experience working in healthcare and care services, who is collaborative, responsible, and independent. You must be able to express yourself well in speech and writing in Swedish. Great importance is placed on personal suitability. Under the national minority language act, Gällivare Municipality is an administrative municipality for Sámi, Meänkieli, and Finnish. Knowledge of any of these languages is meritorious in applications for employment in Gällivare Municipality.

Salary
Monthly salary plus fixed wage supplement for the Short-Term Care Unit. We apply individual salary setting. Please indicate salary expectations in your application.
