About Us Forensic Psychiatry Care Stockholm provides forensic psychiatric care for patients from throughout Stockholm County and has approximately 550 employees distributed across two divisions. The clinic has 15 care wards and 2 outpatient clinics. Operations are spread across three facilities and are located at Helix, Karolinska University Hospital in Huddinge, and Löwenströmska Hospital in Upplands Väsby. We are now seeking a nursing assistant for Ward 32, which is a care unit in security class 3. The ward is located at Löwenströmska Hospital. Our wards primarily admit patients who are placed under care according to the Forensic Psychiatric Care Act (LRV). Many of the patients we care for have long-term and serious mental health disorders. Often there are also substance abuse issues involved. The goal of forensic psychiatric care is to rehabilitate patients toward a life in society with improved psychosocial functioning and reduced risk of reoffending. Work on a care ward provides the opportunity to work long-term with patients alongside a professional nursing assistant team and nursing colleagues. In addition to nurses and nursing assistants, the unit has a unit manager and assistant unit manager. A senior physician is assigned to the unit with responsibility for patients. Social workers, psychologists, and occupational therapists are also important resources in the work. To learn more about us, visit: Jobs and Internships Forensic Psychiatry Stockholm Job Responsibilities As a nursing assistant with us, you will be offered work with varied and challenging tasks. You will participate in patient care work, which includes individual care planning. All care and treatment is team-oriented, which means you work together with other professionals in the organization around the patient to tailor care interventions to each patient's individual needs. Documentation is done in the Take Care medical records system. Qualifications We are seeking someone who is a trained nursing assistant. It is an advantage if you have experience in forensic psychiatric/psychiatric 24-hour care and/or correctional care. Attach proof from the Swedish Board of Health and Welfare of your protected professional title. As a nursing assistant with us, you need to be secure, stable, and have good self-awareness. Sometimes work can be unpredictable, and you will need to be able to act flexibly, be solution-oriented, and remain calm. Since teamwork is central to the ward, it is also important that you are attentive, have good collaborative skills, and are clear in your communication.
