About the Operations In the acute care pool, nursing assistants work on our three different medical units within the Northern Primary Care Area; MAVA/cardiac unit, Kidney/hematology unit, and Stroke/rehabilitation unit. As a nursing assistant in the acute care pool, you will be scheduled to cover absences on the respective units. In the acute care pool there are 12 employees who all work on all units, but have a home unit, and if you are not scheduled on a day, it is your home unit where you work. We are constantly working to improve and develop our operations and patient safety; competency development and work environment are some of the issues we value highly. Medical acute care is a broad field where you will learn a great deal about many different medical conditions and diagnoses. We are now seeking 7 nursing assistants for the acute care pool on a full-time basis. 5 of the positions are permanent appointments and 2 of the positions are temporary assignments. Start date is by agreement. Job Duties In the acute care pool, the work is varied as you work on three units with three different focuses. Upon employment in the acute care pool, you will have a 6-week orientation before you start working independently. We have a preference schedule with periods of approximately 12 weeks per period which gives you an opportunity to choose how you want to work to a certain extent. The job includes performing standard nursing assistant tasks as well as patient monitoring. You will work in a team with, among others, nurses, doctors, physiotherapists and occupational therapists. You will also work on our three units and perform: Basic patient care Monitoring vital parameters Venipuncture Catheter insertion Wound dressing Qualifications We are looking for you who: Are a trained nursing assistant with proof of protected professional title from the Swedish National Board of Health and Welfare Have good knowledge of Swedish in both speech and writing It is meritorious if you: Have work experience in medical acute care Have previously worked on multiple units at Örnsköldsvik Hospital To succeed in the role, we believe you have these personal qualities: We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
