Temporary staffing is part of the HR department and is responsible for meeting the short-term personnel needs of all operations within Region Gävleborg. WORK TASKS The work as a nursing assistant is varied, developmental, and educational. You work close to the patient in a team together with nurses and other professionals. The work tasks vary depending on the operation and patients' needs. Within psychiatric healthcare, you work among other things with: • Provide basic care and psychiatric support • Participate in planning, implementation, and follow-up of care measures • Contribute to work with the patient's care plan • Strengthen the patient's participation in care and treatment • Collaborate with relatives and other healthcare providers • Document in medical record systems • Follow basic hygiene routines and dress codes Within somatic healthcare, you work among other things with: • Provide basic care • Measure and monitor the patient's vital parameters • Prevent falls and pressure ulcers • Support patient nutrition and oral health • Perform wound care, mobilization, and blood sampling • Document in medical record systems • Follow basic hygiene routines and dress codes With us you get: • Opportunity to work at one or more care units and broaden your competence • Varied work where the patient's individual needs are in focus • Work in a team with engaged colleagues to provide the best possible care • Good opportunities to develop in your professional role as a nursing assistant QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for you who collaborates well with others and contributes to a good work environment. You work with care for the patient and contribute to safe and secure care. We would like to see that you have experience within healthcare. To work as a nursing assistant with us, you need to: • Have a degree from a care and nursing program or have completed/started at least term three of a nursing program • Have good knowledge of Swedish in speech and writing • Have basic computer skills since documentation is done digitally • Be able to work day, evening, night, and weekends • Not have another occupation that encompasses more than 50 percent (exceptions can be made for ongoing healthcare education) Information about the recruitment process: Since selection and interviews will be conducted on an ongoing basis, we recommend that you submit your application with attached grades/diploma from nursing assistant training or proof of protected professional title as soon as possible! For work performed within psychiatry as well as in direct and regular contact with children, a police record check certificate must be provided before employment begins. Form of employment: Fixed-term employment. Duration: 3-6 months, start date: Start by agreement, but we would like the introduction to begin no later than December 1.
