About the Operations Area
The Thorax operations area includes Thoracic Surgery (Surgery 3), Thorax Intensive Care (TIVA), an inpatient ward (Ward 12/25), and a Thoracic Surgery clinic. We care for patients who have undergone heart or lung surgery, as well as GUCH surgery – that is, adults with congenital heart defects. Heart and lung transplantation are part of our mission, along with cardiology patients with various heart devices. TIVA is one of the country's most highly specialized and technologically advanced intensive care units.
The department consists of 12 intensive care beds. Care is provided in new and modern facilities. Physicians, ICU nurses, nursing assistants, and physiotherapists work together as a team around the patient. Together we are approximately 120 employees.
What Do We Offer?
At TIVA, you will receive an individually tailored introduction of approximately three months. After that, you will have the support of a mentor, and we also offer peer support activities.
We work according to a career development model for intensive care units. As you develop your skills, we offer internal advanced training within our specialty.
We have close collaboration with the Development Center at Sahlgrenska University Hospital and work purposefully on our work environment.
We use a scheduling optimization model that frees up time for skill development (operational time). We offer regular reflection sessions and opportunities for physical activity during work hours.
About You
We are looking for someone with nursing assistant qualifications and several years of experience. It is advantageous if you have previous experience in intensive care. The work requires you to be flexible, service-oriented, have good teamwork skills, and be comfortable with technical equipment. Great importance is placed on personal suitability.
