Ward 38 is seeking a nursing assistant for varied and developmental work. As a nursing assistant on our urology ward, you will work with patients being treated for a broad spectrum of urological diseases, including kidney and urinary tract diseases, prostate problems, and cancer. We care for both patients with acute conditions and those undergoing planned surgical procedures. Our patient population is diverse and comes from throughout Sweden. To free up time for patient-focused work, we use ward support services. Job Responsibilities As a nursing assistant on ward 38, you will have the opportunity to develop broad competence. You initiate, plan, and perform care together with your team and the patient. You perform tasks such as blood sampling, catheter insertion, vital parameter monitoring, wound dressing changes, and care of stomas and catheters. Qualifications We welcome you if you are a trained nursing assistant, preferably with a focus on acute care according to the previous program structure, or trained as a nursing assistant within the current program structure. To assess employability, grades from your care education and proof from Socialstyrelsen regarding your protected professional title must be attached to your application. It is meritorious if you have experience from inpatient care, preferably within urology or other surgical operations. About the Operation The urology operation area conducts operations at two of the region's three hospitals, Universitetssjukhuset Örebro and Karlskoga lasarett. We have a broad urology operation that includes both basic urology and most types of highly specialized urology surgery. We also have extensive research activities and an educational mission within both nursing and medical education. At Universitetssjukhuset Örebro, there is an inpatient ward, an operating ward, a day surgery ward and shock wave treatment unit, an administrative unit, a research and development unit, and an outpatient clinic.
