Our patients come to us due to acute conditions, cancer surgery, or elective care in the form of various surgical procedures. The urological procedures include everything from minor interventions in the urinary tract to the largest surgical procedure at Helsingborg Hospital: cystectomy. Our vascular patients undergo elective and acute surgery with both open surgery and endovascular treatment. The vascular surgical procedures include treatment of all vessel systems in the body except the heart and brain. The most common procedures are treatment of peripheral arterial disease, aortic disease, and carotid disease. Many of our patients require recurring care, which enables genuine patient contact and continuity of care. We care for both acutely ill patients and patients at the end of life. Patients require both shorter and longer stays on the department. This means a constant change in patient groups and care interventions. 1 position(s). WORK TASKS In the role of nursing assistant with us, you gain broad knowledge and experience within both of our specialties. You get the opportunity to work with stimulating tasks such as catheterization and catheter care, VAC treatments, wound care, blood sampling, pre- and postoperative nursing, and palliative care. We work with mobile bedside documentation of NEWS and vital signs. We have scheduled training days for all staff and can thus work continuously with improvement work. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for you who are a trained nursing assistant and meet the National Board of Health and Welfare's requirements for a protected professional title, regardless of whether you studied according to the previous or current program structure. Preferably with a focus on emergency care/healthcare and/or experience in surgical and/or urological nursing. Good language skills in Swedish, both spoken and written, are a requirement. Furthermore, it is advantageous if you have at least two years of work experience in the healthcare profession. We are looking for you who have a genuine interest in people and care and who, together with your colleagues, want to provide our patients with the best possible care.
