We are now seeking committed and confident nursing assistants for Solgården, a dementia residence in Smedjebacken. The positions involve day shifts, evening shifts, and every other weekend. Currently, Solgården consists of six units with a total of 48 residential places. Additionally, there is a team working in regular housing/home care services, specifically focused on people with cognitive decline. As a nursing assistant at Solgården, you will help shape the future of dementia care together with an experienced team, in an operation that is developing and growing. Work Tasks As a team member in our facility, you will play an important role in creating security and quality of life for our residents. The work tasks are varied and include providing support with personal care, training, and daily activities—always with the individual's needs in focus. You will be a permanent care contact, which means a special responsibility for planning, documenting, and following up interventions in close collaboration with both residents and colleagues. In your work, you will also regularly collaborate with nurses, occupational therapists, physical therapists, benefits caseworkers, and family members to create the best possible support together. Some of your duties may also include health and medical care services that you perform on delegation from licensed personnel. This requires responsibility and thoroughness, as well as good communication and professional interaction. You will actively participate in meetings and contribute to our joint quality improvement work, where we continuously develop our methods to improve the operation. At its core, the work is about creating a meaningful and secure everyday life for our residents—being there in both small and big moments, being able to adapt to changing circumstances, and always treating people with respect, calm, and a positive attitude. Qualifications Requirements Nursing Assistant certification Good computer skills Good Swedish language skills, spoken and written B-class driver's license Meritorious Specialist training in dementia Experience/training in BPSD Finnish language skills (Smedjebacken Municipality is part of the Finnish administrative area) Other Information Provisional employment may be applied Upon possible employment, a criminal record check is required Personal Qualities We are looking for someone who is confident working both independently and in a team.
