The care and residential facilities in Malmö city are organized into 5 units. We are now recruiting a nursing assistant to resource team 1 at unit 3. As a nursing assistant in the resource team, you work on a fixed schedule (day/evening and weekends). You will primarily be placed at the care facilities Kasper and Västergård. Kasper and Västergård are located close to each other geographically. Kasper (Byggmästargatan 6–8) is a group residence for people with dementia with 44 apartments spread across five floors, while Västergård (Grynbodgatan 7) consists of four floors with a total of 41 apartments, half of which are intended for people with dementia. If you are not booked for any shift, you have your home facility to which you are attached. The unit's resource team will have a section manager and regular team meetings. You will become a familiar face in the operations and contribute to increased continuity for both residents and your colleagues. Together you form a team with high competence, flexibility, and professional pride. We are now looking for you who are passionate about working with people and also want flexible work. Your work is characterized by both independence and teamwork within the operations and with other professionals in the operations. In your role as a member of the resource team, you are responsible for helping and supporting residents with nursing care based on their individual needs and wishes. This includes, among other things, personal care, medical procedures performed by delegation from licensed personnel, support and supervision, and other work that occurs at care facilities within the unit. Qualifications You who are applying are a trained nursing assistant and have experience in nursing care work. You have good experience with documentation and are comfortable using the computer as a work tool. The role includes being able to receive and perform delegated tasks from nurses and rehabilitation staff. You have good knowledge of Swedish and can express yourself well in both speech and writing. As a person, you are flexible, responsible, and always put the resident at the center. You are curious, engaged, and have a genuine interest in working with people with cognitive impairment. You have knowledge of dementia diseases and see the value of respectful and person-centered care. The assignment is based on good communication and respectful interaction between people. Therefore, it is important that you have good communication and social skills and find it easy to collaborate with colleagues. You will work at all facilities in the unit, which requires flexibility and the ability to quickly adapt to the different operations' local routines and working methods. It is a merit if you have knowledge and experience of dementia care and experience working with IT tools such as Lifecare and Senior Alert. Experience with BPSD is also a merit.
