The orthopedics business area is a university healthcare unit that operates at hospitals in Hässleholm and Kristianstad. Future of Orthopedics in Hässleholm (FORTH) is an exciting upcoming development of orthopedic operations with a new construction of the entire operating unit that we look very much forward to. On the postoperative ward, patients are monitored following elective orthopedic procedures. Inpatient and outpatient patients. We have 10 monitoring positions and care for approximately 25 patients daily, pre- and postoperatively. The postoperative ward is open 24 hours, Monday through Thursday, and open until 8 p.m. on Fridays. We have permanent night staff. The ward has approximately 25 employees, both nursing assistants and nurses. Working hours are scheduled as follows: 6:45 a.m.–3:15 p.m., 10:30 a.m.–7 p.m., 1 p.m.–9:30 p.m., and on Fridays 11:30 a.m.–8 p.m. Welcome to us! 1 position(s). JOB RESPONSIBILITIES We are now welcoming a new nursing assistant to our cheerful and dedicated team. You will perform typical tasks of a nursing assistant in a postoperative/recovery ward. This includes patient care for pre- and postoperative care, where you participate and ensure that our patients receive the best possible care. You provide patients with information and prepare them for surgery, and you are responsible for postoperative monitoring of vital parameters. Collaboration with the nurse in preparing patients for discharge to home or continued care on the ward is also included. You will also work at the preoperative reception where you provide patients with information before surgery, perform blood tests, and check EKGs. We apply a ten-week schedule. Part-time work is available by agreement. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for someone who is a trained nursing assistant and meets the National Board of Health and Welfare's requirements for a protected professional title, regardless of whether you studied under the previous or current program structure. You should have good Swedish language skills in both speaking and writing. We would like you to have experience with similar work or experience in orthopedics. If you have knowledge of Melior, Orbit, and Pasis, that is an advantage. As a person, you are responsible and confident in your professional role while being attentive and curious about learning new things.
