Our employment offer The Women's Clinic Operating Room is a unit that operates separately from the central operating room. We employ specialist-trained nurses and surgical nursing assistants. We work in teams and provide operative care while participating in various working groups focused on increased collaboration with our partners and quality improvement initiatives. We are a 24/7 operation, and as a surgical nursing assistant, you will work mixed day and evening shifts. We use individual schedule planning. Some weekend shifts are included. When hired, you will be offered an orientation program tailored to your needs. Job description Standard duties of a surgical nursing assistant in an operating room. You will be part of the team caring for patients in the operating room. You prepare the operating room for surgeries and assist the surgical nurse by, for example, opening sterile packages. You handle technical equipment, clean between operations, and restock operating materials. Qualifications Surgical nursing assistant training. Experience in operating room nursing. Experience in acute care nursing. Personal qualities We are looking for someone who is calm and stable with strong empathetic abilities. You can read more about Danderyd Hospital here. About the department Women's health and obstetrics is one of the hospital's largest operational areas with approximately 600 employees. We provide acute and specialized care in both outpatient and inpatient settings. The operational area is divided into obstetrics and gynecology sections. The obstetrics section includes delivery, specialist maternity care with ultrasound services, antenatal unit, elective cesarean sections, and postpartum care. We are one of Sweden's largest delivery units. The gynecology section consists of an outpatient clinic, emergency department, operating room, and ward. We perform benign gynecological surgery with a focus on minimally invasive techniques. We have a mission in advanced pelvic floor surgery. Our operating room performs both planned and acute procedures, including robotic surgery. We have a significant research and development mission with training for medical students, midwifery students, and rotating physicians from general medicine and acute medicine. We have extensive clinical research activities with at least two newly registered doctoral students each year.
