We are now welcoming a new nursing assistant to our great team! The Infectious Disease Department provides specialist healthcare for infectious diseases in both Malmö and Lund. We offer both inpatient and outpatient services to best meet patients' needs. Infection Department 2 in Malmö has 14 inpatient beds, including 2-3 intermediate care beds. These beds are designated for patients with threatening or already developed organ dysfunction, where organ support treatment may be needed. On the ward, we care for, investigate, and treat patients with a variety of infectious diseases, such as sepsis, pneumonia, endocarditis, and tuberculosis. An important part of our mission is also to function as a respiratory care unit, where we care for patients with respiratory failure due to lung and neurological diseases. Since fall, we have implemented nursing councils based on the Magnet Model, a nursing model that Skåne University Hospital (Sus) has decided to implement. We also work with various structures to introduce patient-centered care. Examples include our nursing rounds that we started last fall and the implementation of head-to-toe assessments where we systematically evaluate the patient's nursing needs together. 1 position(s). JOB DUTIES We are now welcoming an additional nursing assistant to Infection Department 2 in Malmö. As a nursing assistant with us, you work in a multidisciplinary team together with nurses and physicians. The department also has a physiotherapist, occupational therapist, pharmacist, medical secretary, social worker, and dietitian. As a nursing assistant on the ward, your work also includes staying with seriously ill patients in need of intermediate care. As a new employee with us, you will receive an individually tailored introduction and training program that spans your first year on the ward. We offer this so you have the ability to take responsibility for the ward's patients at different care levels. Individual assessment and adaptation occur. On the infection ward, we have a KUPA agreement which means you are scheduled for 80%. The remaining 20% is flexible working time in the department. The agreement allows us to offer a more adapted schedule with time for recovery. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for someone who is a trained nursing assistant with a focus on healthcare/acute care and who meets the National Board of Health and Welfare's requirements for a protected professional title, regardless of whether you studied under the previous or current program structure. Good knowledge of the Swedish language in both speech and writing is a requirement. We would like to see that you have worked in acute care and intermediate care. Additionally, it is meritorious if you have good computer skills.
