NURSING ASSISTANT FOR HOME CARE EVENING SHIFT – DEMENTIA AND MENTAL HEALTH
We are looking for a qualified nursing assistant with experience in home care and/or elderly care facilities who has a strong interest in working with people with dementia and mental health conditions.
Stockholms Demens and Specialteam is a home care service that works with people with dementia, mental health conditions, functional disabilities, and substance abuse issues. The work is adapted to each client's needs, and we focus on respectful interactions, motivation, and various creative approaches to make the assistance effective in the client's daily life.
OUR SERVICE AND THE EVENING TEAM
The organization has different teams and specializations in areas such as dementia and mental health.
During evening hours, you will work in the evening team and serve clients with dementia and mental health conditions.
You work independently at clients' homes but are part of an evening team where collaboration and team spirit are important. You need to stay in contact, coordinate, support each other, and help when plans change during your shift.

REQUIREMENTS FOR THE POSITION
You must be a qualified nursing assistant and be able to provide:
validated Swedish grades of at least 1 500 points from nursing assistant training
protected professional title as a nursing assistant
previous work experience in home care and/or elderly care facilities
You must have excellent Swedish language skills, both spoken and written, as you will communicate with clients and colleagues, read instructions, and document in client records.
Experience working with people with dementia and/or mental health conditions is advantageous.
ABOUT THE POSITION
Employment rate: 84.12 %
Working hours: 15:00–22:00
Schedule: Rotating four-week schedule with approximately 19 shifts over four weeks. Shifts are scheduled on weekdays and weekends, working every other weekend.
The employment rate is adjusted for evening work to provide a reasonable number of shifts per month.
Start date: Immediately
Salary: According to collective agreement, Almega Vårdföretagarna
Probationary period: 6 months according to collective agreement
Base location: The organization's office on Södermalm, Stockholm. You begin and end each shift at the office.
The organization has clients in various parts of Stockholm. During your evening shift, you may work in one district or neighboring districts depending on which clients you are scheduled to visit. The work area is determined by client needs, the organization's planning, and which staff member is the best fit for each client. The work area may change over time.
You travel between clients by public transport. The organization has no company vehicles, and an SL card is required for this position.
WORK DUTIES
You work in clients' own homes and provide authorized services such as personal care, dressing and undressing, meal preparation, evening preparations, social activities, and other services the client is entitled to.
An important part of the work is motivating the client and adapting your interactions and approach so that assistance can be provided effectively. Documentation and feedback are part of the work.
SUPPORT AND DEVELOPMENT
You work independently at clients' homes but receive support from the organization and are part of the evening team.
You receive both practical and theoretical guidance as well as continuous professional development within the organization's different specializations.
TIME REGISTRATION AND DOCUMENTATION
We use Paragå for time registration and documentation. You log in and out at each client visit using a mobile phone and NFC tag. The system records time and location and is also used for documentation in the client's record.
