About the workplace Ersta diakoni operates ten elderly care facilities in Stockholm and Uppsala. We want those who move in to be able to continue living according to their habits, needs and wishes. Ferlin is located in Löten in Uppsala and is an elderly care facility with 70 apartments spread over four floors. Here there are units for people with physical care needs, dementia and socio-psychiatric needs. The facility has its own garden and large balconies that offer good opportunities for activities and outdoor time. Ersta diakoni operates Ferlin on behalf of Uppsala Municipality from September 2026. About the role As a nursing assistant, you work closely with the residents and provide support and care based on each person's individual needs, habits and wishes. Together with your colleagues, you plan the work and contribute to creating safety, continuity and a meaningful daily life. The work includes, among other things: personal care and support in daily life noticing changes in the resident's needs and well-being medication management after delegation documentation and information transfer activities, meals and social interaction contact person role and contact with relatives cooperation with colleagues and other professionals around the resident. The work is person-centered and requires you to adapt your support according to the person you meet. Your competence as a nursing assistant is important both in daily care and in noticing things that can affect the resident's health and well-being. Working hours are day/evening shifts and every other weekend according to schedule. The position is 85%. Who are you? We believe that to thrive with us, you enjoy working with elderly people and feel confident in your role as a nursing assistant. You are attentive and aware of the residents' needs and take responsibility for passing on what you observe and notice. You work well with others and communicate clearly with colleagues, residents and relatives. At the same time, you can work independently and make professional assessments in your daily work. Your experience To be suitable for the role, you need to: have certification from Socialstyrelsen authorizing you to use the protected professional title nursing assistant have experience working in elderly care be able to receive delegation for medication management be able to express yourself well in Swedish in speech and writing be able to use the digital tools needed for the work. Other information about the recruitment The employment is a permanent position at 85%. We apply a probationary period.
