What does the job as a nursing assistant at Norlandia Elderly Care entail?
A nursing assistant at Norlandia is a valuable key person, and we're looking for someone skilled in their professional role who enjoys meeting people in different situations. Together in a team with nurses, rehabilitation staff, and management, we collaborate around each resident to provide a good life every day.
We're seeking you with a genuine interest in older people, where your main responsibilities are to provide safe and secure personal care and support. You support the residents in their lives and create conditions for a safe and meaningful everyday life. As a nursing assistant, you're responsible for providing residents with high-quality care and support in accordance with what has been agreed upon with the resident in their care plan.
This includes, among other things:
Work as a contact person based on Norlandia's concept Your Day.
Personal care and support and utilizing residents' own resources.
Work based on Norlandia's concept A Tasty Meal so our residents enjoy their food and mealtimes add a golden touch to everyday life.
Document according to the Social Services Act; maintain social records and create and follow up on care plans.
Plan, offer, and carry out daily activities, outdoor time, entertainment, crafts, cultural activities, etc., both individual and group activities.
Perform service tasks such as cleaning apartments, laundry, escorting, shopping, and more.
Receive and carry out delegated tasks such as medication administration.
Take responsibility in ombudsman roles.
Actively participate in quality and improvement work.
About Kastanjen Elderly Care
Kastanjen has 16 apartments spread over two floors with a focus on people with dementia. The residence is centrally located in Johannelund with good bus connections.

You must have proof from the Swedish Social Board (Socialstyrelsen) that you have the right to use the professional title nursing assistant.
It's an advantage if you have previous experience in care and support.
It's an advantage if you have previous experience working night shifts.
You need good knowledge of documentation.
You must have good Swedish language skills, both spoken and written.
We'd like you to have good computer skills/experience.
We want you to have good knowledge of the relevant national quality registers for the operations.

Trial period: 6 months trial employment applies
We apply individual salary setting and have a collective agreement. Interviews are held on a rolling basis and the position may be filled before the final application deadline. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.
Before a potential employment, you must be able to provide a criminal record certificate. You must also be able to prove that you have the right to work in Sweden by showing that you have citizenship in an EU/EEA country or a valid work permit.
