The Center for Musculoskeletal Disorders (ROC) Umeå is responsible for university hospital care in orthopedics including spinal surgery in the Northern Healthcare Region, the four northernmost counties. ROC also serves as the county hospital for orthopedics in Västerbotten and regional hospital for the Umeå region.
The Center for Musculoskeletal Disorders is divided into the sections Arthro and Tumor, Factum, Trauma and Spine, all of which conduct thousands of patient visits, treatments and surgical procedures annually. Together with the Surgical and Orthopedic Clinic in Lycksele and the Unit for Surgical Operations in Skellefteå, we are responsible for all orthopedics in the county.
The Center for Musculoskeletal Disorders is a University Hospital Care Unit (USVE) where research and supervision of students are a natural part of daily clinical work.
Our diverse operations are experienced as stimulating by our staff since the activities are divided into different sections. This provides varied work and a medical knowledge base. We have operations with both breadth and depth. It encompasses everything from assessments of patients' acute orthopedic problems in acute care at the clinic and ward to elective orthopedic operations and extensive fracture and trauma surgery.

RESPONSIBILITIES
As a Nursing Assistant with us, you contribute with knowledge and commitment that make people feel secure.
As a nursing assistant you work close to the patient and support them in the functions that need support, but always work to preserve their autonomy. We work in fast care chains, mobilization and return to previous life are pursued quickly after surgery. As a nursing assistant you also perform standard nursing assistant tasks for an acute care ward such as mobilization, daily care, monitoring of vital parameters, wound care, sampling, etc.
With us, nursing assistants have an important and natural role in the care team and your work contributes to safe, high-quality patient care. To maintain cohesion in daily care, we have introduced a care coordinator in each team. This person follows up on work tasks and participates in rounds. Working hours are day, evening, weekend and night shifts according to operational needs.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for you with an approved nursing assistant education. Since nursing assistant is a protected title, you need to provide a certificate from the Swedish National Board of Health and Welfare (Socialstyrelsen), or alternatively a service certificate that makes you covered by the National Board of Health and Welfare's transitional provisions and allows you to use the title until June 30, 2033.
You are responsible and thrive in an environment with varying tasks and changing intensity.
You have good communication skills in speech and writing, and you enjoy working both independently and in a team, where cooperation and initiative, flexibility and attention to detail are qualities we value. You are good at prioritizing what is most important at any given moment and have the ability to maintain focus on the task.
