About the Position
As a nursing assistant at Björkbacken Group Home, you will work with adults who have both physical and intellectual disabilities and extensive care needs under LSS. The work involves providing individualized support and care based on each person's needs, wishes, and implementation plan.
The position is varied and includes everything from close care work and delegated nursing tasks to supporting individuals in social settings and motivating participation and responsibility in daily life. You will document in LifeCare and work closely with colleagues to ensure safe and quality care.
The work requires flexibility as circumstances can change quickly, and you need to be able to adapt to unforeseen situations. You will work day shifts, evening shifts, and weekends.
Your tasks include, among others:
Engage, encourage, and motivate participation and responsibility in daily life
Close care work
Support for individuals in social settings
Perform delegated nursing tasks
Work according to the implementation plan
Provide individualized support and care based on each person's needs, wishes, and circumstances
Document in LifeCare

About You
For this position, you need:
Nursing assistant certification
Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written, as the work involves communication and documentation
Able to provide a valid criminal record clearance
It is advantageous if you also have:
Knowledge of AAC (Alternative and Augmentative Communication), such as sign language interpretation
Good digital skills and experience working with various computer programs, such as journal systems, communication systems, and the Office suite
Experience working with people with disabilities
Category B driver's license for manual transmission
You are self-directed and take responsibility for your tasks by working in a structured manner and driving processes forward. The role requires good teamwork skills and the ability to actively contribute to a positive work environment by listening, communicating, and handling challenges in a constructive way. You are reliable, stable, have good self-awareness, and can distinguish between the personal and professional. You are also pedagogical and can adapt your communication style based on the recipient's needs and capabilities.

Björkbacken is a group home consisting of 6 residents with a focus on adults with extensive care needs under LSS (Act on Support and Service for People with Disabilities). We are located in central Norrtälje, approximately a 10-minute walk from the bus station. We work based on the idea that each person does their best based on their circumstances.
