On Gotland, there are several special residential facilities distributed across six locations. We who work here have the mission to help elderly people around the clock with various services to create conditions for a meaningful and dignified life. Syrengården is a dementia care home centrally located in Roma, approximately two miles from Visby. The facility has 19 beds distributed over two floors. There is a large garden with walking paths, a pavilion, and proximity to forest. Syrengården is certified according to Silviahemmet's care philosophy. Nursing assistants, residential assistants, nurses, unit managers, and rehabilitation staff work closely together here. We are now looking for new nursing assistants who want to become part of our team! Your responsibilities As a nursing assistant, you will among other things: Perform routine care tasks such as personal care, household management, medication administration, and other delegated healthcare services, with focus on safety and continuity. Contribute to a meaningful and individually adapted daily life through companionship, activities, and social interaction. Work with a calm and respectful approach based on each person's cognitive ability and condition on any given day. Participate in and provide palliative care as well as support both residents and family members at the end of life. Work according to IBIC and person-centered care with focus on the individual's needs, habits, and life history. Serve as a contact person, including establishing and following up on implementation plans. Document, maintain contact with family members, and manage certain administrative tasks. Collaborate with the unit manager, nurse, and rehabilitation staff to create safe care. Participate in developing work methods and routines in the operation. Be flexible and when needed, provide support in other departments, for example within somatic care. Work days, evenings, and every other weekend. For the position of nursing assistant in special residential care, the starting salary range is 29 000–34 000 kronor per month. We apply individual salary setting. Final salary is determined based on education, relevant experience, competence, and responsibility in the role, as well as in consideration of applicable collective agreements. Who are you? For employment as a nursing assistant, you must have the right to use the protected occupational title according to applicable regulations. It is a merit to have further education in dementia care, such as Silviasyster, Demens ABC/ABC Plus, BPSD, Stjärnmärkt, person-centered care, low-arousal approach, or palliative care. Experience in supervision and competence development is also a merit. As a person, you are stable, confident, and show genuine commitment in your professional role. You are proactive and take responsibility for driving work forward, while being flexible and able to adapt to the facility's and residents' changing needs. You have good collaboration skills and actively contribute to a positive work environment where you together create safety and quality in care. You are also relationship-building and establish trusting relationships with residents, family members, and colleagues. With a development-oriented approach, you contribute to improving work methods and quality in the operation, while sharing knowledge and supporting your colleagues in daily work. In accordance with the new language requirement, you need to master Swedish well in both speech and writing to ensure safe care as well as good and correct documentation. Region Gotland uses Digital Language Testing. A passing grade is a requirement to proceed in the process.
