Surgical Clinic/Surgical Ward, Länssjukhuset Ryhov Do you want variety in your daily work while developing your skills in surgical care? With us, you'll have a unique opportunity to combine two different aspects of surgery – ward work and surgical clinic operations. We're looking for someone who wants to use their experience as a nursing assistant in a varied role where you work closely with inpatient care while also developing expertise in clinic work. Your Role as a Nursing Assistant As a nursing assistant with us, you'll rotate between the surgical clinic and the ward. This means you'll gain broad experience in surgical care and develop multiple competencies. At the surgical clinic, you'll work with our teams at various doctor's offices. You'll also have the opportunity to assist with minor procedures under local anesthesia and take responsibility for clinic tasks, including wound dressing changes and negative pressure therapy. On the ward, you'll provide patient care and pre- and post-operative care for our patients. What's great about this role is the variety. You'll switch between scheduled clinic work and direct patient care on the ward – while building broader expertise in surgical care. Surgical Clinic in Region Jönköpings län is a region-wide clinic with operations at three locations: Eksjö, Jönköping, and Värnamo. At all three locations, emergency care and acute surgical care are provided 24/7, including surgery and intensive care. The Surgical Clinic in Jönköping is part of the Surgical Clinic in Region Jönköpings län. Here work nurses, ostomy therapists, nursing assistants, and care administrators. Patients come here for examinations and treatments. We also perform minor surgical procedures. In Jönköping, there are two surgical wards, Surgery A and B. The clinic consists of five surgical teams: acute, upper gastro, lower gastro, vascular, and breast/endocrine. Most teams have nursing development specialists who, together with the responsible team physician, work on developing care procedures and maintaining competency on the ward.
