Oncology holds a regional mandate to provide advanced medical treatment and care to cancer patients primarily in Gästrikland, Hälsingland, and northern Uppland.
The department operates day care services, outpatient clinics and ward care, radiation therapy, and palliative care teams. With nearly 17 physicians on staff, we bring broad expertise and work together to provide high-quality, personalized care tailored to each unique patient. The oncology specialty is constantly evolving with new research and treatment options. We stay current to offer our patients new medications that lead to extended survival.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
As a physician, you will join our medical team, working to provide comprehensive care to our oncology patients. You will work in a multidisciplinary team where you always have supervision. Your service will be planned together with your supervisor, the study director, and the medical chief, and we aim to create a supportive environment balancing theory, practice, learning, and professional growth.
As a physician with us, you will, among other things:
• under supervision, perform common tasks of a department physician
• have varied assignments where for several weeks you may work as on-call support with supervision during regular working hours.

QUALIFICATIONS

You thrive in a changing environment and adapt easily to new circumstances. We seek someone who works well with colleagues and communicates in a thoughtful and flexible manner. We care for patients facing significant challenges, so it is important that you can handle stressful situations with emotional resilience.
In your role as a physician, you must:
• be a fully trained physician without Swedish medical license (legitimation)
• have Swedish language skills at minimum C1 level.
Experience working as a physician in Swedish healthcare is a merit.
