In preparation for the summer vacation period, weeks 24-35, we are seeking junior doctors for the Internal Medicine department, USÖ Region Örebro County. Job Responsibilities Job tasks include, among other things, examining, investigating, assessing and treating patients under supervision, primarily in one of our departments for gastroenterology, nephrology/internal medicine and hematology. Some temporary staff will work as primary on-call doctors at the medical emergency department including night shifts. As a primary on-call doctor you work at the emergency department together with another primary on-call doctor (usually more experienced) and a specialist responsible for both the medical emergency department and the wards. Qualifications In the role you communicate daily with colleagues and patients, so it is important that you have good communication skills and great understanding for people's differences. Proficiency in Swedish both spoken and written is a requirement to succeed in the role. You who apply to us are thorough and can handle working in stressful situations. You who apply are a medical student who has completed at least term 10 by summer. Previous work as a Medical Care Assistant (MOR) is a strong merit in the selection. About the Department The Internal Medicine department is divided into five different specialist areas. We care for patients with, among other things, blood disorders, diabetes, gastrointestinal diseases and kidney diseases. A large patient group with us is elderly with complex medical care and nursing needs where care requires close cooperation between municipality, primary care and hospital care. The operations are spread across the hospital and conducted in the M building, B building and L building.
