About the Role As a mechanic, you will be part of the maintenance department and work with both preventive and corrective maintenance in the production environment. You are responsible for keeping machines and equipment in good condition. The work is varied and includes both planned maintenance tasks and emergency repairs. Examples of work tasks: Preventive maintenance according to maintenance plans Troubleshooting and repair of production equipment Machine and facility maintenance Workshop work including welding, turning, milling, and other workshop equipment Participation in improvement and development work within maintenance In the long term, the role may include spare parts handling, inventory management, and procurement. Your Profile We are looking for a self-driven and solution-oriented mechanic with a genuine technical interest. You thrive on taking your own initiative and have the ability to work both independently and together with others. As a person, you are curious, engaged, and have a natural drive to learn new things. You have a structured work approach and can see connections in the business from a larger perspective. To be suitable for the position, we see that you have experience with mechanical maintenance, preferably from the manufacturing industry. You have good workshop experience and experience with mechanical work. Furthermore, you have good knowledge of Swedish and English. We consider it an asset if you have: Experience from process industry Experience with welding, turning, and milling Electrical knowledge Certificate for Hot Work Training for power-operated work platform Good to Know Work location: Oskarshamn Working hours: Full-time, daytime 07:00–16:00 Employment type: Consultant 6 months via OnePartnerGroup with very good opportunities for continued employment at OKAB.
