Backer AB is now seeking an experienced Maintenance and Facilities Manager who wants to take overall responsibility for both technical maintenance and facilities management!
About the Position
As Maintenance Manager, you are responsible for maintenance operations and facilities management at the production facility for elements and system products. You have overall responsibility for ensuring safe, efficient, and reliable operations and will lead and develop a team of approximately 15 employees.
In the role, you will work closely with production, project organization, suppliers, and external partners. You will drive the development of preventive maintenance and technical improvements with a focus on high availability, cost-effectiveness, and long-term sustainability. The role combines operational responsibility with strategic development work and gives you the opportunity to influence both operational results and future development.
Your Responsibilities
• Lead and develop the maintenance organization
• Oversee facilities management and technical systems
• Develop and implement maintenance strategies, procedures, and methods
• Manage budgets, investments, and procurement
• Drive improvement projects in energy, modernization, and automation
• Ensure safe, efficient, and sustainable operations
About You
We are looking for a confident and present leader who motivates and engages your employees through clear and inclusive leadership. You have strong collaboration skills and build solid relationships both internally and externally. Furthermore, you are structured and solution-oriented, with the ability to drive development and make well-informed decisions in a fast-paced operation.
Formal Requirements
• Electrician certification (A or at least AL)
• Technical education in, for example, electrical, mechanical, operations, or facilities
• Experience leading operations within maintenance, facilities, or property management
• Good knowledge of maintenance methodology and facilities technical systems
• Communicates fluently in Swedish and English, both verbally and in writing
Desirable Qualifications
• Experience with project management
• Experience working with digital systems and operations development
• Experience working according to ISO 14001 and ISO 9001
