Job Duties In your role as a heavy truck mechanic for our customer in Norrköping, you will work with service, troubleshooting, and repair of heavy vehicles and transport vehicles. You perform both planned maintenance and emergency repairs, replace components, conduct diagnostics using the workshop's diagnostic systems, and test and document completed work. You collaborate daily with workshop colleagues, workshop management, and the spare parts department to ensure quick and correct actions. The role also involves contact with customers to explain completed work and time estimates, as well as reporting deviations and improvement suggestions. Job Duties in Brief: Service and repair of heavy trucks and trailers Troubleshooting with diagnostic tools and mechanical/electrical problem-solving Replacement of parts and components and assembly of accessories Inspection testing and test drive after completed work Documentation of work in systems and reporting to responsible technician/manager Collaboration with spare parts and customer to ensure deliveries Your Profile We are looking for someone who is technically skilled, thorough, and solution-oriented. You thrive in a workshop environment where pace and quality go hand in hand. You work in a structured manner, have good ability to prioritize and collaborate with colleagues, and communicate clearly with customers. We would like to see that you have some experience working with heavy vehicles or equivalent education. Experience with modern diagnostic systems, air brake systems, and electronic control systems is a merit. Qualifications Vocational education in vehicle or transport technology or equivalent experience Experience working with heavy trucks is a merit Knowledge of diagnostics and troubleshooting on modern vehicles Class B driver's license required; Class C driver's license is a merit Good Swedish in speech and writing; English is a merit Ability to work independently and in a team About the Position The position is located with a customer in Norrköping. Scope and working hours by agreement, full-time preferred. Start date by agreement. You will be employed as a consultant through Fordonsakademin.
