State Police Zemgale Region Administration Document Management Department Interpreter Main Job Responsibilities: 1. Translate received and sent correspondence, extensive complex texts and documents, including procedural documents. 2. Consecutively interpret conversations and procedural proceedings containing specific terminology from Latvian (foreign language - Russian) into foreign language - Russian (Latvian), including interpretation of video/audio recordings. 3. Register and maintain records of translated documents and interpretation performed (including video/audio recordings), and report on completed work to the structural unit manager. Education and Professional Experience Required for the Position: - Second level professional higher education; - desired experience in legal document translation; - desired work experience in law enforcement institutions; - ability to format translated text in accordance with record-keeping regulatory requirements; - skills in using information technology (using translation computer programs and electronic databases); - excellent knowledge of Russian language for interpreting oral and written documents; - Category B vehicle driver's license.
