Job responsibilities
As a transport manager, you are responsible for planning, coordinating, and following up on daily transport operations. You ensure that resources are used in the best way and that deliveries are carried out as planned while working for high quality, good service, and cost-effective solutions. The role involves close collaboration with drivers, traffic office, supervisors, and other internal functions. An important part of the work is about optimizing transport flows, planning vehicle capacity, and handling deviations that arise in an operation where conditions can change quickly. You become a central contact point in the operation and contribute to creating efficient transport solutions for both customers and the organization.
Your main job responsibilities are to:
Plan and coordinate daily departures and transport flows
Load and optimize vehicle capacity to ensure high utilization
Coordinate transports together with traffic office, drivers, and colleagues within the operation
Follow up on deviations and ensure that work is conducted according to established processes
Maintain ongoing contact with customers, supervisors, and other internal functions
Contribute to efficient and cost-conscious transport solutions
Education, experience, and personal qualities
Requirements
Experience in transport management, traffic management, or other coordinating role
Good system knowledge and experience with administrative tasks
Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written
Merits
Experience as a driver
CE license and/or other relevant transport and logistics qualifications (such as YKB, ADR, driver's license, or forklift license)
