The Riga City Municipality Outdoor Spaces and Mobility Department is the leading institution of Riga City Municipality in the field of traffic, transport (including public transport services) and external lighting. It ensures maintenance, design and organization of transport infrastructure facilities, supervision, coordination and control of the city's public transport services and passenger commercial transportation, resolution and coordination of traffic organization and traffic safety issues, maintenance and development of the city's public transport system concept, attraction of investments for the implementation of approved concepts, organization of operation, maintenance and management of decorative lighting of Riga City Municipality's external lighting network, maintenance and management of street lighting, traffic lights and street clocks, technical operation and maintenance of mechanisms, ensuring maintenance of territories belonging to or owned by the municipality, renovation of facilities under municipal control and in public use, and implementation of territory improvement projects.
We will entrust you with
Monitoring compliance with regulatory legal acts in passenger transportation by taxi or private car, and cargo transportation in Riga city administrative territory or according to the department management's instructions.
Working in a control team consisting of a senior inspector and inspector - in daily raids, comprehensive and/or thematic inspections with the State Police, Riga Municipality Police, State Revenue Service and other controlling institutions.
Checking documentation required for public transport service (in the Riga City public transport route network) (route service contract, movement schedule, route permit, etc.).
Monitoring compliance with requirements applicable to specialized tourist transport vehicles.
Monitoring compliance of passenger and cargo transportation with regulatory requirements in accordance with the department's competence.
Drawing up procedural documents at the site of violation.
We expect
Secondary education completed.
Advanced level knowledge of the state language.
Good communication and business communication skills.
Knowledge and skills in document preparation.
Understanding of the administrative violation process.
Good computer and information technology skills for working with MS Office standard programs, internet browsers and office equipment, as well as the ability to learn and use other programs necessary for the performance of job duties.
High sense of responsibility and accuracy.
Resilience in stressful situations.
Desired: motor vehicle driver's license (category B).
