Do you want to contribute to strengthening Sweden's total defense by educating and developing the signal protection personnel of the future in an international context? The Swedish Armed Forces Signal Protection School (TSS) is now seeking two committed signal protection instructors who want to help build Sweden's and NATO's resilience against qualified threats. About the Position As a signal protection instructor at TSS, you will teach, mentor, and examine course participants in signal protection service, cryptosystem management, and secure communications. You will plan and conduct training, both theoretical and practical, and participate in developing courses, educational materials, and creating new courses. The role involves close collaboration with other instructors, the Swedish Armed Forces, authorities, and organizations within the total defense framework. You will also contribute to developing the school's activities and ensuring high quality in signal protection education. You will conduct training in Swedish and may also provide instruction in English. About the Organization The Swedish Armed Forces Signal Protection School (TSS) is part of the Command and Staff School at the Command Regiment in Enköping. We currently have 18 employees distributed across three units with different specializations in signal protection. Our main mission is to lead, coordinate, and conduct training in the information security field and specifically in Signal Protection and secure cryptographic functions. We train personnel within the Swedish Armed Forces and the broader total defense system. The Swedish Armed Forces and the broader total defense system are in an expansion phase and undergoing significant growth. Main Responsibilities Teach and mentor course participants in international signal protection and cryptosystems, and support corresponding work in national signal protection. Develop course plans, educational materials, and training exercises. Conduct examinations and assess course participants' performance. Contribute to developing new courses. Participate in collaborations within signal protection. As TSS faces new challenges, the content of the position may change and evolve as we develop new working methods and Sweden's role in NATO becomes increasingly prominent. Good computer skills. Strong ability to express yourself in speech and writing in Swedish and English. Swedish citizenship. Great weight will be placed on your personal suitability. Meritorious Education or experience in signal protection, communications service, or security service. Trained signal protection instructor. Experience with staff support or command systems. Experience instructing or teaching. Completed military service with satisfactory results. Completed specialist or officer training with satisfactory results. Experience with international operations or participation in an international staff. Knowledge of the total defense system's activities. Driver's license class B or higher. Personal Qualities You are a confident and security-conscious person with strong commitment to education and development. You have good ability to understand and interpret regulations and government texts in English, as well as to translate that content into applicable knowledge. Position: Full-time (40 hours/week) primarily with daytime service. Evening and weekend duty may occur.
