Your Assignment
As a substitute teacher in school, you support where needed based on current and periodic needs. You meet students of different ages and work to support their care, development, and learning. Your duties include participating in pedagogical activities, substituting in classrooms, participating in play and outdoor activities, providing support during the school day and in after-school programs, and contributing to a safe and positive environment for children and students.
You work according to the organization's routines, governing documents, and instructions from the responsible supervisor or regular staff. Teaching, working methods, and planning are prepared by regular employees, and your task is to carry out and support the activities according to given guidelines. In this role, you collaborate with teachers, childcare workers, after-school staff, and other colleagues to create a safe, secure, and developmental environment for children and students.
As a substitute teacher, you need to be able to step in on short notice and have the ability to work both partial days, full days, or longer periods.
Your Experience
For this position, you must have:
strong ability to express yourself in Swedish in speech and writing
secondary or post-secondary education.
It is advantageous if you also have:
secondary or post-secondary education as a childcare worker, teacher, or other education the employer deems relevant
experience working with children and students
experience working in preschool, school, or after-school programs
experience with and knowledge of children and students with NPF diagnoses.
