About the Staffing Unit Lerum Municipality's Staffing Unit employs temporary workers for positions when regular staff are absent. This can include absence during both shorter and longer periods. As a temporary worker, you are intermittently employed and receive work assignment requests on an ongoing basis. Requests may come the same day, but also with longer notice. Through a digital booking system, you indicate your availability and can express interest in work assignments. You will receive an introduction that includes training and on-the-job mentoring in the operations. Work assignments are scheduled for both daytime and evening hours, weekdays and weekends. The length of assignments varies, but you work a minimum of 4 hours. If you have previous experience in healthcare, you have the opportunity to work overnight shifts. 15 position(s). WORK TASKS You always start from what the user needs and help ensure they feel good and have a valuable and secure daily life. Examples of typical work tasks: • provide support in daily situations, for example taking walks • assist with showering and toilet visits • clean and do laundry • distribute medication (primarily relevant in home care) • health and medical care tasks according to instructions and delegation from a nurse • documentation in administrative systems Elderly Care Facilities and Short-term Care Facilities At elderly care facilities and short-term care facilities, there are somatic and dementia units. You work primarily in teams, but independent work also occurs. Your task is to help care recipients with practical care work based on their needs and organize activities such as outings and board games. Home Care and Service Unit Within home care, you support care recipients according to their needs in their homes. You perform practical care work independently but maintain regular contact with colleagues and coordinators. Sometimes you work in pairs. In the home care service unit, you perform only service tasks, such as shopping, cleaning, and social activities like walks. QUALIFICATIONS Who are you? To thrive in our operations, you need to be a person with a genuine interest in individuals. Your empathetic ability and understanding of integrity ensure that our care recipients receive a secure and valuable daily life with respectful treatment from you. Of course, you provide good service and find it easy to collaborate with others. If you have training and previous experience in healthcare/elderly care, this is an advantage. The work tasks include documentation and communication with care recipients, colleagues, and other parties, which requires good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability. Driver's License Within home care, you must have a category B driver's license, and in some cases, be able to drive a manual transmission vehicle.
