JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Would you like meaningful extra work where you can make a difference? We are seeking temporary staff for our short-term residential facility Stjärnan. With us, you'll have the opportunity to work with children and young people, develop in your professional role, and contribute to a safe and active everyday life. You don't need any special education—we value your commitment, your approach, and your willingness to learn. Experience working with children, young people, or people with functional variations is a merit. At the short-term residential facility Stjärnan, we support children and young people who receive services under the LSS. The operation functions as a complement to the home and at the same time provides relief for relatives. The stay gives children and young people the opportunity for a safe and meaningful change of environment, where they can develop, participate in various activities, and create new experiences based on their own circumstances. With us, joy, participation, and the individual's needs are at the center. About the job: As temporary staff with us, you become an important part of the children's and young people's stay. You contribute to a safe, active, and meaningful everyday life where each individual has the opportunity to develop based on their own circumstances, interests, and needs. The work is varied and can include: • Providing support in daily care. • Planning and implementing activities with children and young people. • Contributing to an active and developmental everyday life. • Performing common household tasks, such as cooking, shopping, cleaning, and laundry. • Working according to implementation plans and documenting in the facility's system. • Maintaining contact with guardians and collaborating with colleagues and other professionals. You will work both independently and together with colleagues. The work requires you to be responsive, flexible, and responsible, with a professional and respectful approach in all situations. It is important that you take responsibility for your tasks and contribute to a safe and high-quality stay for the children and young people. Working hours are primarily in the evenings and on weekends, but work on weekdays can also occur, especially during school breaks and holidays. Working hours are irregular and may also include on-call and night shifts. As temporary staff, you work as needed, which suits you if you want to combine work with studies or other employment. We offer comprehensive introductory training with support, so you have good conditions to feel confident in your new role. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for someone who wants meaningful extra work where you can make a difference in children's and young people's everyday lives. There is no requirement for special education—what is most important is that you have a genuine interest in working with children and young people, are responsive, and want to contribute to a safe and meaningful stay. It is a merit if you: • Have experience working with children and young people. • Have experience working with people with functional variations. • Have knowledge of or experience with intellectual disabilities or neurodevelopmental variations. • Have knowledge of sign language support (TAKK) or other alternative and augmentative communication. The work includes both care and activities, so you need to have basic physical capability and an interest in being active with the children and young people. You need to be able to express yourself well in Swedish, both orally and in writing, as documentation is an important part of the work. You have good digital skills and enjoy working both independently and with colleagues. We are looking for someone who is confident, flexible, and responsive in your approach. You work calmly and have a professional demeanor when meeting children, young people, and their relatives. You also need to be prepared to take responsibility and contribute to a positive everyday life. Great weight will be placed on personal suitability. You are warmly welcome to apply! In accordance with the legislation on background checks for work with children with disabilities, anyone offered employment must present an extract from the criminal and suspicion register from the Police Authority. These extracts are requested only after an employment offer has been made. Employment type: Fixed-term employment. Duration: 6 months or longer. To ensure quality in the recruitment process in Hammarö Municipality and to enable good communication with our applicants, we ask you to submit your application digitally and not via email or paper format. You are warmly welcome to apply! Regarding the recruitment process, Hammarö Municipality has made a decision regarding recruitment channels and marketing.
