OUR TARGET GROUP
Villa Bergerska is a residential care home that receives girls aged 15-19 who expose themselves to or find themselves in risk environments that can significantly harm their health and development. This may involve children and young people with serious non-aggressive norm-breaking behavior, such as serious defiance of parental authority, poor school attendance, or destructive self-damaging behavior. We are able to receive girls under both the Social Services Act (SoL) and the Care of Young Persons (LVU) Act with short notice, around the clock.
WORK TASKS
As a treatment assistant, you work as part of a treatment team with the young people and participate in daily work according to the organization's procedures, ensuring that planned activities are carried out. You work based on the young people's implementation plans, conduct treatment and motivational conversations, and perform documentation work.
Collaboration, flexibility, and attentiveness are extremely central to the role.
PERSONAL QUALITIES
This is a job for someone with a positive view of people and who feels humility when working with young people in difficult situations. You are confident in yourself and have the ability to remain calm even under stressful circumstances. You need to be a stable person but also be able to be flexible, empathetic, and adapt to each girl's needs, which is crucial to provide optimal support and guidance.
An aptitude for motivating and seeing an individual's strengths is a valuable resource. Also being able to work in a structured manner and having a professional and solution-focused approach.
MERITS
It is advantageous if you have expertise in TMO, CBT, MI, rePULSE, and low-arousal de-escalation techniques. Being multilingual is always an advantage, as is knowledge of neurodevelopmental disorders.
REQUIREMENTS
We only seek staff with at least 2 years of post-secondary education in relevant areas for our operations such as social worker, behavioral scientist, social pedagogue, and treatment assistant. Furthermore, it is required that you have unimpeded command of Swedish in both speech and writing. You have knowledge of the Social Services Act and good documentation abilities.
