About the Job
As a temporary staff member, you work when the organization needs extra support. You get flexible work where you can influence your own availability while developing both personally and professionally.
As a personal care assistant, you work closely with one or more people with significant disabilities and support them in their daily lives based on their individual needs, wishes, and life situation. The work takes place primarily in the individual's home but can also involve accompanying them to work, studies, leisure activities, or other errands. The goal is for the person you support to be able to live an independent life with influence over their daily routine.
Work tasks vary depending on whom you work for and can include personal care, assistance with meals, mobility, communication, household chores, and activities. Work with medical equipment such as trach and ventilators may also occur. You always work according to the individual's needs and routines, which makes each assignment unique.
Work Hours
Work hours vary depending on the individual's needs and can be scheduled during day, evening, night, and weekends. Both awake nights and on-call work occur.
Who Are You?
We are looking for someone who is 18 years or older and enjoys working with people. You are responsible, attentive, and have a good approach to others. You feel comfortable working independently and are confident in taking responsibility while maintaining close collaboration with colleagues.
As a personal care assistant, you need to be able to adapt to different people's needs and work styles. You are respectful, flexible, and understand that the work is conducted on the individual's terms. It is important that you can build trust and contribute to a sense of security through a calm and professional approach.
If you have training or previous experience in care and support or personal assistance, that is a merit, but what matters most to us is your willingness to learn, your commitment, and your ability to create security for those you meet. For certain assignments, a driver's license (B) is a requirement or merit.
