JOB DUTIES
You visit clients in their own homes, which is perfect if you enjoy variety and movement. The work is quite independent and involves supporting clients to live as independently as possible. You work with clients of different ages who need care and/or healthcare in their home environment.
Examples of job duties:
• social care (walks, companionship, and reassurance measures)
• practical assistance (cleaning, laundry, shopping, meal preparation)
• personal care (dressing/undressing, transfers, personal hygiene)
Working hours vary between day, evening, and weekends. You need to be able to work flexibly, as you step in when regular staff are absent, often with short notice.

QUALIFICATIONS
We're looking for someone who is confident, engaged, and curious about learning. You collaborate well with others, take responsibility, and have good interpersonal skills. Experience or education in care and healthcare is a merit.
We prefer that you have a B-class driver's license and that you can cycle.
You need to complete a delegation training program, which is conducted together with a registered nurse.
Personal suitability, commitment, and the ability to work collaboratively are key concepts. In home care, you must be able to work independently and take significant responsibility.
Training is usually provided by regular staff before you begin working independently.

At Vårgårda Municipality, full-time is the norm with the possibility of part-time work. When full-time assignments are not available, positions can be combined with other tasks or at another workplace.
