About the Staffing Unit
Lerum Municipality's Staffing Unit employs temporary workers for work when regular staff are absent. This can be for both shorter and longer periods.
As a temporary employee, you are employed on an intermittent basis and receive work shift requests on an ongoing basis. Requests may come the same day or with longer notice. Through a digital booking system, you indicate your availability and can express interest in work shifts.
Before you start, you will receive an introduction at one of our large kitchens.
Work shifts are scheduled during daytime on weekdays. Weekend shifts may also occur in kitchens at our senior care facilities. The length of shifts varies, but the minimum is 4 hours.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
You contribute to making every meal a positive and pleasant experience for our guests.
You work according to the municipality's vision with focus on ecological purchasing, reduced food waste, and climate-smart meals. Your responsibilities include dishwashing, cleaning, and receiving and handling goods deliveries.
If you have previous experience and/or training as a meal service assistant, additional tasks may be included, such as:
• Preparation of cold sauces, dressings, raw vegetables, and salads
• Preparation of side dishes for meals
• Baking of bread
QUALIFICATIONS
Who are you?
We are looking for someone who is self-driven, service-oriented, and responsible. You work in a structured manner, collaborate well with others, and have the ability to switch between different tasks without compromising quality or pace.
We would like you to have:
• Experience working in large kitchens
• Knowledge of special diets
• Training as a meal service assistant
• Knowledge of food hygiene and self-inspection programs
Since documentation and communication are part of the work, you need to have good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written, as well as good computer skills.
