WORK TASKS
We offer jobs in three different areas:
• Special housing (residential facilities for elderly people who receive assistance with daily life). You work in a team but perform your own tasks. On the short-term unit, you work with users who are there for assessment, rehabilitation, respite care, or palliative care.
• Home care (elderly people live at home and need help with daily tasks). You work mainly independently but always have colleagues who can support you. Within home care, there is also the safety team that responds to safety alarms for care recipients.
• LSS/Function Support (residential facilities or daytime activities for people with various functional disabilities). You usually work in a team with colleagues but can also work independently.
If you match the needs of our services, you will be invited to a presentation. Then you will meet with a recruiter for an individual interview. During the interview, we will tell you about our various services and have the opportunity to speak more with you personally.
You will receive an introduction at your chosen workplace and shadow regular staff so that you feel confident in your role before you start working.
Regardless of the service area, we offer varied work where you meet many people and perform different tasks.
As a substitute in healthcare and care, you help people of different ages have a meaningful and functioning daily life when regular staff are sick or on leave. The work tasks might include helping with morning routines, personal hygiene, going on an outing, or encouraging and motivating care recipients in their daily life.
All planning is done in a mobile app, so it is clear what you are expected to do, but the job can also involve situations that are not always predictable.
We need staff who can work days, evenings, weekends, or nights. Staff work either awake or on-call night shifts to ensure that each user's individual routine and sleep-wake cycle is maintained.
QUALIFICATIONS
It is a great advantage if you have training and experience in healthcare and care, but it is not a requirement. You need to have a willingness to learn new things and develop yourself.
There are clear procedures that are important to follow to ensure good care of our users. For example, you may be responsible for administering medication. This requires great attention to detail.
It is important that you enjoy working with people. Our users need different types of help and support. You need to be responsive to users' needs and be good at collaborating with your colleagues.
• You need to be able to take your own initiative and have the ability to prioritize when multiple things are happening at once.
• You need to understand, write, and speak Swedish.
• You need to be able to use the IT systems necessary for the job, which requires computer skills.
• In several of our services, you need to have a driver's license, but it is not required everywhere.
Before a potential employment in healthcare and care, you need to provide a criminal record certificate. This is part of our routine to ensure safety and security in the service. You will receive more information about this during the recruitment process.
You must be 18 years old or older. The age limit is set due to special regulations according to the Work Environment Act. Rules regarding the work environment for minors are regulated in AFS 2012:3.
