About Us
The Inpatient Pharmacy Dispensing Unit is part of the Pharmacy Services VGR SU and belongs to the Medication Operations Department at Sahlgrenska University Hospital. The "Inpatient Dispensing" service involves automated dose dispensing of medications to hospitalized patients, and our unit at Östra Hospital daily serves approximately 1,000 patients in Gothenburg, Kungälv, and Alingsås with dispensed dose medications.
Main Responsibilities
At the Inpatient Dispensing Unit, pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, and pharmacy assistants work with varying tasks, and we have several regional assignments. We need to strengthen our team with temporary positions. We are looking for two people who can cover for illness absences. You do not need experience in healthcare, pharmacy, or dose dispensing and/or hospital pharmacy operations, but such experience is valued, as is an interest in production and digital solutions. We particularly welcome students in pharmaceutical education programs. You will primarily work with the production and inspection of dose bags, both automated and manual, as well as all related work tasks—typical duties for pharmacy assistants in inpatient dispensing.
Work tasks may also include handling various types of medication inventory, primarily on the ward. Heavy lifting may occur.

You have a strong ability to collaborate with various professional groups and easily establish new contacts and good relationships. You are equally comfortable working in a team as working independently, and you are thorough and solution-oriented in your approach. As a person, you are open, flexible, and communicate easily.
