Båstad Montessoriskola Asken is located in the beautiful Bjäre region, in Grevie village. The school is operated by Båstad Montessori ekonomiska förening, a parent cooperative where the board consists of parents and staff. The association also operates two preschools in the municipality, with approximately 225 children and approximately 53 adults in our operations.
We are now seeking a part-time janitor who can help with practical tasks at Montessoriskolan Asken and at our two preschools Kristallen and Ängen.
The work is varied and involves helping where needs arise, both in our facilities and in our outdoor environments. We are looking for someone who is practical, handy, solution-oriented, and self-motivated, and who enjoys getting things to work.
The work tasks may include
performing minor repairs and ongoing maintenance
performing simple carpentry work and painting
assembling furniture, shelves, and other equipment
inspecting facilities, inventory, and outdoor environments
handling simple gardening work and ongoing maintenance of our outdoor areas
mowing grass, managing leaves, pruning vegetation, and snow removal
helping with moving and transporting materials and equipment between our operations
identifying and addressing minor practical problems and deficiencies
performing other practical tasks that arise in the operations.
We are looking for someone who sees what needs to be done and takes responsibility for getting it done. You need to be able to work independently and plan your tasks, but also work well with staff in our various operations.
You are generally handy and have experience with practical maintenance, such as simple carpentry, painting, and repairs. We would like you to also have an interest in and experience with gardening and outdoor work. Prior experience in janitorial work, facility management, or similar practical work is required.
Since you will be working in environments where children and students are present, it is important that you are reliable, responsible, and have a friendly and professional demeanor. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
A B-category driver's license is required because the work is performed at several of our locations.
Working hours vary based on the needs of the operations. This position may therefore be well-suited for you if you have another main occupation or are retired and want to work part-time.
