What does the job as a nursing assistant at Norlandia Elderly Care involve?
A nursing assistant at Norlandia is a valuable key person, and we're looking for someone who is skilled in your professional role and enjoys meeting people in different situations. Together in the team with nurses, rehabilitation staff, and management, we collaborate around the resident to provide a good life every day.
We're looking for someone with a genuine interest in elderly people. Your main responsibilities are to provide safe and secure personal care and support. You support residents in their daily lives and create conditions for a secure and meaningful everyday life. As a nursing assistant, you're responsible for providing residents with good quality care and support in accordance with what has been agreed upon with the resident in the implementation plan.
This includes, among other things:
Work as a contact person based on Norlandia's concept "Your Day."
Personal care and support and utilizing residents' own resources.
Work based on Norlandia's concept "Delicious Meal" so that our residents appreciate the food and the meal experience adds a golden touch to everyday life.
Documentation in accordance with the Social Services Act; keeping social records and creating and following up on implementation plans.
Planning, offering, and implementing daily activities, outdoor time, entertainment, crafts, cultural activities, etc., both individual and group activities.
Performing service tasks such as cleaning apartments, laundry, accompanying residents on outings and shopping, etc.
Receiving and performing delegated work tasks such as medication delegation.
Taking responsibility in ombudsman roles.
Actively participating in the facility's quality and improvement work.

Fryken Care Residence is located in the Rud district in Karlstad. At Fryken, we have 46 apartments distributed across five units. We provide care for people with dementia and cognitive impairment. We are a Star-Marked facility where staff have completed star-marking training according to Swedish Dementia Center's training model. We have staff around the clock and work in a person-centered and health-promoting way to meet our residents' needs and create a good life every day.

You need proof of the right to use the professional title nursing assistant from the National Board of Health and Welfare.
It's advantageous if you have previous experience in care and support.
You need good knowledge of documentation.
You must speak Swedish well, both orally and in writing.
We'd like you to have good computer skills/experience.
We want you to have good knowledge of the national quality registers relevant to the facilities.

We apply individual salary setting and have collective agreements. Interviews are conducted on a rolling basis, and the position may be filled before the final application deadline. Great weight will be placed on personal suitability.
Before a potential employment, you must be able to provide an extract from the criminal record register. You also need to be able to prove that you have the right to work in Sweden by providing proof of EU/EES citizenship or a valid work permit.
