About the Position
The Housing Support service is part of Individual and Family Services in Laholm.
Housing Support is an intervention granted under the Social Services Act (SoL) and aims to provide people with support in daily life. Housing Support is a practical, pedagogical, and social intervention designed to strengthen an individual's ability to manage daily life both at home and in the community. Housing Support is adapted to the individual's needs for support and recovery as well as their opportunities to develop a functioning daily life.
Because support needs and preferences vary, Housing Support is a multifaceted intervention that is individually tailored. It is flexible support that can include many different components and serve multiple purposes for those who need assistance with daily living. An important component of the support is the relationship between the Housing Support worker and the person receiving support.
Housing Support is an activity directed toward adults with disabilities, mental health issues/functional impairments, and/or comorbidities. We work with people with cognitive, psychological, and intellectual disabilities. Comorbidities or extensive social challenges are also part of our daily work.
As a Housing Support worker, you primarily work in clients' homes. The goal is to support clients toward greater independence and remove barriers to their development.
Are You the Right Fit?
We are now seeking part-time Housing Support workers for our operations. It is desirable that you have some social or educational training. Previous professional experience with or knowledge of people with mental and cognitive disabilities is a merit. Experience with comorbidities and neuropsychiatric disabilities (NPD) is also a plus.
The role of Housing Support worker requires high standards of structure, clarity, and flexibility. Good interpersonal skills are important, and significant weight will be placed on personal suitability.
A Class B driver's license is required for this position.
About the Employment
Part-time employment with daytime, evening, and weekend shifts.
Interviews may be held before the application deadline.
