We are now seeking a Test Developer in SW/FW for Automation and Embedded Systems who wants to take a key role in improving and developing our testing and verification. The Pattern Generator (PG) division, which you will be part of in this role, holds a unique market position today as the world's leading supplier of laser-based mask writers for the manufacturing of photomasks, which are in turn used in the production of high-resolution displays and microprocessors. Every high-resolution display produced in large volumes that you see, whether it's a TV, mobile phone, tablet, Apple Watch, etc., Mycronic's machines are a critical part of the manufacturing process. As a test developer, you are part of the Electronics Design & Architecture (EDA) team, which currently consists of 17 engineers with broad specialist expertise in electronics, firmware and system development. The team develops and manages the electronics platform that forms the heart and brain of all PG products. In addition to collaboration with your immediate team, you also work cross-functionally with colleagues in software, systems architecture, release management, installation and service. Key Responsibilities You will be responsible for developing and further developing the electronics group's testing and verification environments in areas such as PLC test automation, I/O simulation, test rigs and communication protocols such as EtherCAT and OPC-UA. An important part of the role is to drive development towards a more automated and quality-assured release process and to establish a long-term testing and release strategy together with the development and release organization. Over time, you will naturally own the electronics team's test equipment, automated testing systems and release deliveries. You will also have great opportunities to influence technical decisions, working methods and priorities within the field. Examples of Work Tasks: Develop, automate and maintain tests for automation and embedded systems. Design and further develop test environments, simulators and test rigs. Further develop and improve electronics FW/SW tests and ensure they are in sync with other testing activities at system, integration and regression test levels. Develop tools for analysis, troubleshooting and verification. Ensure quality in firmware and software deliveries. Drive improvements in test automation, quality assurance and release management. Contribute to and over time lead work on the electronics' long-term testing and release strategy. Experience with software testing and test automation. Experience with low-level programming. Good understanding of system testing, integration testing and troubleshooting. Programming skills in for example Python, C or similar. Experience with test frameworks for Python or similar frameworks. Experience with version control (Git). Good knowledge of Swedish and English as both languages are used in the work. We Consider It Meritious If You Have: Experience with Beckhoff/TwinCAT. Knowledge of Structured Text (IEC 61131-3). Experience with EtherCAT, OPC-UA or industrial communication protocols. Experience with low-level testing and verification. Experience with Linux. Experience with CI/CD and automated test environments. Experience with safety-critical systems or machine control.
