About the Position
We are now seeking a technical trainer for our client Gävleborgs Automation AB. In this role, you will combine work as a trainer at a vocational university with practical assignments in industrial automation. You will have extensive contact with both students and industrial customers and will be an important part of their development.
Gävleborgs Automation works closely with its customers and sees itself as part of their team – they don't just work for the customer, but together with the customer.

Training
You plan, conduct, and develop training in areas including:
Automation and PLC technology
Robotics
Electrical engineering and electrical technology
CAD
Production knowledge
Troubleshooting and industrial control systems
The work includes lectures, mentoring, Q&A sessions, and developing practical exercises and training materials. You are largely responsible for planning and organizing your training programs.
Industrial Projects
In parallel with the training component, you will work on automation projects with our customers as needed. Projects may include:
PLC and HMI programming
Troubleshooting in machines and production equipment
Modification and modernization of existing control systems
PLC and control system replacements
System commissioning
Engineering and technical planning
Support and troubleshooting at customer sites
Location: You can work from any location, but the Gothenburg area is particularly of interest. The work is a combination of remote work, training, and assignments at customer sites. Travel is part of the role.

About You
We are looking for someone with a technical background in automation who enjoys sharing your knowledge. You are pedagogical, social, and comfortable communicating with both students and industrial customers.
As a person, you are solution-oriented and independent while appreciating collaboration with others. You enjoy technical challenges, take responsibility for your work, and have an interest in development – both your own and others'.
Qualifications
Experience as an automation technician, automation engineer, or equivalent
Knowledge of PLC programming, electrical engineering, and circuit diagram reading
Experience troubleshooting with code, circuit diagrams, and multimeter
Knowledge of Siemens, ABB, and CAD
Very good command of Swedish and good command of English
Class B driver's license and access to a car
Meritorious
Experience training or mentoring others
Knowledge of Eplan
Experience with robot programming, such as ABB, FANUC, or UR
Experience with practical automation projects in industry
