About the role
As a Technical Project Manager with us, you will lead and coordinate both customer-specific development projects for vehicle manufacturers and our internal product development projects. You will be part of our R&D department in Eskilstuna and work in close collaboration with engineers, technicians, the marketing department, and external partners. The position may involve occasional travel within Sweden as well as occasional trips abroad. You report directly to the Technical Director.
Key responsibilities
Project Coordination:
Lead and support projects from idea to final delivery, both internally and together with partners, suppliers, and testing institutes.
Relationship Building
& Customer Contact: Represent Calix in meetings with customers, listen to and interpret specifications, and support the marketing department with requests by proposing timelines and budgets.
Structure &
Planning: Create, maintain, and report timelines, project budgets, and associated documentation in our shared forums.
Your profile and
competencies
We are looking for an engaged colleague who finds it easy to build trust, listen, and develop long-term relationships. You have a genuine interest in technology, a structured work approach, and thrive in a role with many points of contact where communication and collaboration are central.
To succeed in the role, we would like you to have a good basic understanding of product development processes and to have worked with some form of engineering previously (experience from the automotive industry is a plus, but not a requirement). The most important thing is your ability to coordinate, communicate, and willingness to delve into technical processes.
We require that you have:
Experience in leading, coordinating, or managing projects or development processes.
A background or understanding in engineering.
A business-minded and service-oriented approach to customer relations.
Very good communication skills in both Swedish and English.
It is a plus if you have:
Basic knowledge or interest in electrical and electronic systems.
