About the Assignment As a Technical Information Officer in ILS, you are responsible for creating, structuring, updating, and quality-assuring technical documentation for complex products and systems. The documentation forms a central part of the product's lifecycle and is used by technicians, operators, maintenance organizations, and other stakeholders. The role involves collecting, analyzing, and processing technical information from various sources, and ensuring that information is delivered in a structured and user-adapted form. You work closely with designers, systems engineers, logistics engineers, and other technical specialists to ensure that technical information is accurate, consistent, and traceable. As an experienced resource, you are expected to contribute specialist knowledge in technical information management and be an important part in developing working methods, documentation processes, and information structures within the organization. Key Responsibilities Create, structure, develop, and revise technical documentation for products and systems. Process technical materials and translate complex information into clear and user-adapted documentation. Ensure quality, structure, and traceability in technical information throughout the product lifecycle. Manage and quality-assure technical and logistical information in Excel and other information and documentation systems. Collaborate with designers, systems engineers, logistics engineers, and other technical disciplines. Contribute knowledge and support in technical information management in development and sustainment projects. Participate in improvement work related to information structure, documentation processes, and methods. Support ILS operations with materials, analyses, and information-related activities. We Are Looking For You have a genuine interest in technology and several years of experience working with technical documentation, technical information, or ILS-related operations. You have a good understanding of how complex technical systems work and are accustomed to transforming technical materials into structured and useful information. You work independently, take responsibility for your deliverables, and have a well-developed ability to plan, structure, and prioritize your work. At the same time, you thrive in collaboration with other specialists and see the value of contributing to the team's shared success. Competency Requirements Level 3 At least 3-7 years of experience in technical information, technical documentation, ILS, or related field. Documented experience in independently creating, developing, and quality-assuring technical documentation. Good understanding of technical systems, information management, and documentation processes. Experience working cross-functionally with multiple technical disciplines. Relevant technical education or equivalent experience. Strong proficiency in Swedish and English, both spoken and written. Level 4 At least 8-12 years of experience in technical information, technical documentation, ILS, or related field. Very deep competency in technical information management and documentation work in complex technical environments. Experience leading, developing, or quality-assuring documentation processes and information structures. Ability to act as specialist and advisor in technical documentation and information management. Experience working in larger development, maintenance, or sustainment projects. Documented ability to drive work independently and support and guide others within the competency area. Meritorious Knowledge of ships, marine systems, or naval vessels. Experience with S1000D or other standards for structured technical information. Experience with XML-based information management. Experience working with support systems in the ILS field. Experience from the defense industry, the Swedish Armed Forces, or other operations with complex technical systems. Experience in technical information management throughout the product lifecycle. This position is subject to security vetting, which may include requirements for Swedish citizenship.
