Team Leader in Maintenance for Outokumpu Avesta
Do you want to take the next step in maintenance and at the same time take on an important leadership role in daily operations? We are now looking for several Team Leaders in Maintenance who want to contribute to safe, efficient, and reliable production in Avesta.
As a Team Leader, you have a key role in the operation where you are responsible for planning, organizing, and following up on maintenance work within your area. You work closely with the maintenance group manager and workshop manager and serve as operational support in daily operations. The role involves a strong focus on work leadership, safety, and quality, while you yourself maintain close involvement in practical operations.
You lead and coordinate work for both your own employees and external contractors, and ensure that work is performed in accordance with applicable safety requirements, instructions, and standards.
Examples of work tasks
In this role, you will, among other things:
Plan, allocate, and follow up on daily maintenance work
Supervise internal employees and external contractors
Ensure that work is performed in accordance with applicable safety regulations and procedures
Document and follow up on completed work in the maintenance system
Contribute to improvement initiatives for increased availability and operational reliability
Assist in training, onboarding, and competency development of employees
Support operations during maintenance shutdowns and major planned initiatives
Contribute to workplace and safety efforts within the area
When needed, serve as a replacement for your immediate manager.

To succeed in this role, we see that you have:
Three years of technical secondary education, for example in technology, industry, or vehicles
At least two years of experience with maintenance work in heavy industry
Good computer skills and experience working with Office and maintenance systems
Good knowledge of blueprint reading
