About Internationella Engelska Skolan Kista Internationale Engelska Skolan (IES) Kista is part of Sweden's largest and most successful network of bilingual schools and welcomes students in grades F–9. IES Kista has 640 students and 79 employees. We follow the Swedish curriculum (Lgr22) with up to 50% of instruction conducted in English. At IES Kista, we believe in high academic expectations, bilingual education (English and Swedish), and mutual respect between students and staff. We strive to equip every student with knowledge, confidence, and a strong sense of responsibility to prepare them for future success. We are now seeking engaged and flexible substitute teachers who can step in as needed with short notice. About the Position As a substitute teacher at IES Kista, you will: - Replace regular teachers during short-term absences and lead lessons in various subjects for grades F–9. - Follow lesson plans left by regular teachers to ensure continuity in student learning. - Maintain good order and a calm study environment in the classroom in accordance with school rules. - Be an active and visible adult in the corridors and during breaks. - Collaborate with colleagues and school leadership to ensure the day runs as smoothly as possible for students. - Contribute to the school's positive and international atmosphere. Qualifications - You have completed upper secondary education. Begun or completed teacher training is highly desirable. - You speak and write fluent Swedish and have very good English skills, as we are a bilingual school. - You are flexible, punctual, and enjoy working collaboratively with different types of people. - You have a natural ability to lead groups of children and create a sense of security in the classroom. - Previous experience working with children or young people is required.
