We are now recruiting more taxi drivers to join our team of drivers for Transportation Service Vehicles / Multi-vehicles in Umeå. We are looking for both full-time and part-time drivers. A multi-vehicle is a minibus with the capability to transport passengers in wheelchairs, for example. Our multi-vehicles can be operated with a B-class driver's license. However, you must have a taxi license. As a driver of a multi-vehicle, you primarily perform wheelchair transports, but also stretcher transports, transportation services, school trips, and medical transports, and sometimes regular taxi trips as well. Working hours are varied and you follow a shift schedule, which means evenings and weekends may occur. However, we also have other types of schedules. For these positions, employment is intended to start as soon as possible or by agreement. Before employment starts, training in company procedures and equipment will be provided. We are primarily looking for applicants who already hold a taxi license, but we also welcome applicants interested in obtaining a taxi license if you feel like the right person for the organization. If you don't have a taxi license, we can offer help with your studies to obtain it (study materials, etc.). We also cover the costs of obtaining the taxi license (exam fees, medical examination, etc.). What we are looking for are Umeå's best drivers. Taxi driving is a very service-oriented profession with significant customer contact. It's easy to think that taxi is about trips to and from bars on weekend nights, as this is often what people associate taxis with as private individuals. Driving taxi with us is primarily about performing publicly funded traffic on weekdays. It's medical transports for regions, school trips, and transportation service trips for municipalities. But also many business trips for corporate customers. You constantly work with people and are often a key to their daily life for getting to and from healthcare facilities, schools, work, etc. We cover a large geographic area and operate traffic in large parts of Norrland. For example, we have vehicles stationed in Boden, Kalix, Luleå, Nordmaling, Robertsfors, Sollefteå, Vindeln, Vännäs, Umeå, and Örnsköldsvik municipalities. It is common for us to have many longer trips across municipality borders and large parts of Norrland. We currently have approximately 185 vehicles and approximately 300 employed drivers.
