Norrlands Academic Dental Care (NAT) is a base unit where general dentistry, specialist dentistry, clinical education, and research meet in a shared structure. The operations are run in close collaboration between Public Dental Health in Region Västerbotten and the Department of Odontology at Umeå University.
Within NAT, an academic and development-oriented environment is created where care, education, and learning are a natural part of everyday work. Different professions collaborate closely here with a shared focus on high quality, sustainable workforce development, and good patient care.
General Dentistry NAT is a central part of these operations, a place where clinical work, education, and cooperation with specialist dentistry meet in practice. General dentistry is provided for both children and adults here, while the operations also serve as an important learning environment for students in dental surgeon, dental hygienist, and dental assistant programs.
We are seeking two dental assistants for General Dentistry NAT. The operations are currently being established, which gives you a unique opportunity to help shape how work methods, teams, and culture are formed.
You will become part of an operation with clear assignments, shared planning, and a strong focus on development, collaboration, and learning in everyday work. WORK DUTIES
As a dental assistant with us, you contribute knowledge and dedication that makes people feel secure and gives our patients good conditions for good oral health.
You have a central role in daily teamwork. You contribute both to good and safe dentistry for our patients and to creating good conditions for clinical education.
Work duties include, among other things, assisting work within general dentistry for adults and children, participation in the clinical education environment including supervision of students together with dental surgeons and clinical instructors. Certain administrative work duties are included in the position, and work in sterile conditions may also occur.
We use computerized scheduling and the T4 patient record system.
QUALIFICATIONS
You have a dental assistant diploma and a good ability to collaborate and contribute to the team's shared work. It is important that you have an interest in development, quality, and good service.
You are flexible, responsible, and enjoy working in an operation where the days are varied. Experience from general dentistry, educational dentistry, or specialist dentistry is a merit.
Good language skills in Swedish in both speech and writing.
Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability.
