Do you have extensive experience in operations, design, and development of larger network environments? We are now looking for a network specialist who wants to be part of developing the IT infrastructure that supports Region Värmland's operations every day. Your workplace You will be part of a group of specialists responsible for operations and development of Region Värmland's network environment. The unit also has specialist groups focusing on, among other things, data centers, security, databases, identity management, remote access, and client platforms. Together, we are approximately 40 employees working closely together to develop and manage the region's IT environment. Your responsibilities As a systems engineer, your tasks will include: Designing, implementing, and managing both new and existing network solutions, both wireless and access. Maintaining close dialogue with units and operations and being involved throughout the entire chain from analysis to design, implementation, lifecycle management, operations to support. By creating efficient solutions and managing their technical implementation and operations, you contribute to our success. You will work both independently and in groups with helpful and experienced colleagues such as solutions architects, project managers, and operations technicians. The role involves close collaboration with other specialist groups. Your knowledge and competencies We are looking for you who have worked daily over the past five years with operations, management, and design of larger networks with related services such as advanced wireless networks, load balancing, and zone models. We expect you to have: Solid knowledge in the field and demonstrate it through a work sample. Valid network certification such as CCNA, CompTIA Network or equivalent. Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written. Valid driver's license. We consider it a merit if you have: Vocational or higher education with a focus on networks or equivalent competence acquired through work experience and certifications. Valid higher certifications such as CCNP (Cisco Certified Network Professional) or equivalent. Knowledge of automation with tools such as Python and Ansible. You have the ability to maintain a realistic perspective, focus on what is important, and act thoughtfully. At the same time, you are flexible and can adapt when circumstances change. You see opportunities in change and easily adjust both your perspective and work methods based on operational needs. You work independently, take responsibility for your tasks, and drive your work forward in a structured manner. Since the work involves many contact points, you also have good collaboration skills. You relate to others in a responsive and smooth way, communicate clearly, and contribute to constructive solutions even in challenging situations.
